Demand is strong for the Hub’s food pantry: we ran out of food within 15 minutes on our first distribution day. We anticipate that the amount of neighborhood residents needing food assistance will increase as COVID-19’s effects ripple across the New Jersey economy.

The food pantry is one component of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark’s commitment to neighborhood revitalization in Newark’s West ​& Central Village. Over the long term, your donations will be fund focused, community-supported change initiatives around the issues of critical repairs and healthy homes, crime and public safety, education, employment, community building and health.
